- For Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September, the State of California continues to implement its IMPACT/PCPT program; and community organizations and individuals are active through a variety of public education and awareness activities.

Hawaii Prostate Cancer Coalition
- All month, our banner will hang at the State Capital building urging men to speak with their doctors about PC.
- We will be lighting Honolulu Hale (City Hall) blue for the entire month.
- In conjunction with the University of Hawaii Cancer Center, we will be conducting tours of their facility and the second annual Prostate Cancer Forum on 9/23.
- We will be appearing on a local morning TV show, HNN Sunrise, on the local CBS and NBC affiliates 9/15.
- The hour long Body Show on the local National Public Radio affiliate will be devoted to PC 9/14.

Wyoming Comprehensive Cancer Control
- Mayor of Cheyenne, Wyoming Proclamation recognizing NPCA and deeming September as Prostate Cancer Awareness month in Cheyenne.
Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation
- For September we have 15 education and screening events on the books.
- In addition this is our 3rd annual Blue Ribbon Campaign – all the high schools and colleges in the state will wear Blue Ribbon decals on their football helmets for home games during September – we have PSA announcements at every game and on game radio broadcasts about prostate cancer awareness. At many of the games, prostate cancer survivors will participate in pregame activities.
- This year every college in the Southeastern Conference will host a prostate cancer awareness game to recognize retired SEC Commissioner Mike Slive, a prostate cancer survivor.
- The governor has issued a proclamation declaring September as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
New Hampshire Prostate Cancer Coalition
- A proclamation recognizing Prostate Cancer Awareness Month has been issued by the Governor.
- The NHPCC will have displays in 4 City Halls, 10 libraries and the Manchester Health Department. Seven books on prostate cancer together with 100 bookmarks will be given to 10 separate libraries from Nashua to Plymouth.
- Prostate cancer awareness coasters (10,000) and posters (100) will be distributed to restaurants throughout the state.
Assembly of Petworth, Washington D.C.
- September 17 & 18: Prostate cancer awareness and screening event at the Washington Convention Center in conjunction with the Prostate Health Education Network [ PHEN ], the Congressional Black Caucus, Howard University and/or George Washington University Cancer Center. Events will include workshops, panel discussions and screenings.
- Additionally, my organization in conjunction with Howard University Cancer Center will be doing prostate cancer screening in the African American / Latino-Hispanic / African [ Ethiopian / Nigeria / Cameroon ] /Caribbean, Asian [Korean] and Native American communities.
